The restricted section of the Library is located here on the fourth floor. The only way to access it is through a set of stairs located behind the librarian's desk that's on the third floor. What some students and professor's don't know is that there is a gargoyle statue that will step aside to reveal a secret way into the restricted section if someone feeds it a blood pop. For those students who are lucky enough to have a note that allows them to enter the restricted section properly, they are only allotted half an hour to search for the book they need before the librarian comes up to usher them out. For those to know the secret way to get into the restricted section are in for several dark, dark, dark surprises that are hidden within the pages of those books on dark magic.

The General Study Common was added recently and is a place for students to study together, regardless of what their house is. It's more public than the library so that students can chatter all they want and more open than being holed up in an empty classroom or in individual common rooms. The general study is decorated with the Hogwart's Crest and all four colors representing the four houses are used to decorate the walls and furniture of the common room. Due to the intense rivalry and hatred among the four houses however, the Group Common is rarely used. Professors are now considering making use of the Group Common mandatory.
