The Remembrance Balcony was created after the Second Wizarding War in memory of those who have passed away during the war. Small statues of phoenixes are used as torches on the Balcony and at night they burn with a silver flame instead of gold. Students come here when they have a problem because the Remembrance Balcony is a great place to reflect on the past and think about the future. For students who have family members who died or fought in the war, the Remembrance Balcony is where they going to feel close to those family members.
